Bilingual life and more

This blog is about us, our trials and tribulations while trying to keep the German language alife in our family, always finding new ways to ensure Annas and Emilys bilingualism. That is not as easy as maybe thought, especially when you have to do English homework, have mostly English speaking friends and everything around is in English.

To that, I add our life – what we experience, what we think is important and all the fun we have.

And then … there are my views – oh goodness – and … one of my favorite pasttimes … my therapy …. food :-) I love to cook, to bake, to concoct.

I hope you enjoy my blog. I love getting comments and can’t wait to hear from you.

Erfreue mich immer wieder an deinen Beitraegen. Mit der Zeit kommt man in Uebung was das schreiben und vor allem HTML programmieren angeht und bekommt Lust auf mehr. Bin mal gespannt, wann du deine voellig autarke Homepage fertig hast. Waere ich nicht so beschaeftigt, haette ich auch schon ne eigene. Macht so nen Spass, wenn es auch die Zeit die man als Freizeit bezeichnet sehr schnell ausfuellt…. liebest Gruesse aus dem Mac-Lab. Dem Labor des vitaminreichen Wissens (Apple) und der zeitlosen Nachdenklichkeit…

Hallo, Interessanter blog, vorallem weil auch wir uns bald mit dem Problem oder der Chance des der Multilingualität herumschlagen müssen/werden. Hoffe hier einige Anregungen für die kommende Zeit finden zu können. Alles Gute

bin aus zufall auf deine web page gelanded und finde es ganz toll das ich nicht die einzigste bin die probleme mit bilingual kids hat. meine tochter sind schon etwas alter und es wird immer schwerer “deutsch” zu sprechen und zu erhalten im haus da die aussen welt so einen grossen einfluss auf sie macht. bis bald
