Inauguration of the 44th President of the United States

Just some pointers about today. It sure was an amazing day.

– I went to see the inauguration with my friend Kim today at Taco Mac. Funnily enough, she brought her German friend to witness the inauguration. From my stand point this

– I came to the United States on January 20th, 1992.

– Michael, my dh, is 44 years old in the year of the 44th president.

– The presidential election was on my birthday, November 4th, 2008.

Congratulations to President Obama and to all Americans.The peaceful and orderly transition of power is something you can rightly be proud of. Your ability to self-correct through the various stages of your nation’s history augur well for your future.

As a foreigner who wants good things to happen in any and all parts of the world, I wish Americans will work more in harmony with their president. How successful Obama can be as American president will depend on how well his fellow-Americans can rein in their demands for their expectations to be satisfied.

Keep the hopes alive.

Es sind schon beeindruckende Zufälle (ich sage ja immer, dass es keine gibt; sondern alles eine tiefere Bedeutung hat)So wünsche ich mit Obama mit Amerika und der ganzen Welt, dass dieser Präsident eine so hoffnungsvolle Ausstrahlung hat, dass sie auf die ganze Welt wirkt. Jeder weiß im Grunde seines Herzens, dass es in keinem Land so weitergehen kann wie bisher! Die Aufbruchsstimmung, die positive Kraft, das Vertrauen in die guten Seiten der Menschen sind das Kapital, auf dem die nächsten Jahre aufgebaut werden kann. Yes we can! – Packen wir`s an!
